About Keysight EDA

Keysight EDA is a market-leading business unit specializing in design software for high-frequency and high-speed electronics. We develop workflows and simulators essential for creating cutting-edge electronics. We are seeking a creative individual for the role of Application Development Engineer, focusing on developing new solutions, showcasing new functionalities in Keysight's Advanced Design System platform, and creating real solutions to customer challenges.

Role Context

This role involves simulation for advanced ICs, modules, and RF board design, ranging from MHz to THz frequencies. It reports to the product management team, collaborating with peers in application development and product management, and interfacing with R&D and sales teams.

Responsibilities

1. Creating and delivering technical papers and application notes on RF & Microwave design workflows.
2. Developing new applications and design automation using Python APIs.
3. Pioneering the use of AI to accelerate design within EDA platforms.
4. Conducting workshops and training sessions for customers on Python automation.
5. Producing professional demo videos and internal technical training materials.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering or related field.
2. At least 3 years of RF/Microwave experience in design or application engineering.
3. Experience with Keysight's Advanced Design System (ADS) tools.
4. Proficiency in Python programming.
5. A passion for creating innovative solutions and developing automated workflows, preferably with RF/MW simulation experience.

The role level will depend on experience, education, and skills. Most offers will be between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range listed below.

Santa Rosa, California pay range: MIN $139,270, MIDPOINT $185,600, MAX $232,120.

Note: Pay ranges vary by region for other locations.
