Georgia State University’s University Advancement seeks an Application Developer Lead - Technical to join the team and take the lead on the Ascend constituent management application. You will deliver interactive and printed reports, support data warehouse strategy, and leverage MS Power BI to enhance reporting capabilities.

• Software testing: conduct investigations and experiments to verify software quality.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Leadership:

• Main responsibility is to assume the lead role on Ascend application for constituent management for Advancement. The product is used to prepare and deliver a variety of interactive and printed reports, necessary to support the development of custom reporting. Assist with the development of a data warehouse strategy and leveraging MS Power BI.

Application Support:

• Responds to customer report requests and data quality inquires. Includes administration, application troubleshooting, design, programming, and testing.

Business Systems Analysis:

• Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding. Includes analysis and documentation of business processes and functional requirements.
• Considers the business implications of the application of technology to the business environment.
• Translates functional requirements and prepares detailed report specifications from which reports are written.

Project Management:

• May also be responsible for serving in the role of project manager for smaller-sized programming projects in developing a project plan/schedule, coordinating the activities of the project team, and reporting project status to both management and customers.

Communication:

• Consults and collaborates with personnel across the Advancement Department and other technical departments to coordinate activities related to projects assigned
• Prepares and provides activity and status reports regarding the activities assigned.

Software testing:

• Conducting investigations and experiments to verify the quality of software to provide an objective, independent view of the software
