Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas is offering a ten-week summer IT internship in Kansas. Interns will gain exposure to multiple programming languages, tools, architectures, security, and database systems while supporting real projects.

Interns work in a dynamic, hybrid/onsite environment with ongoing training and development opportunities, aimed at growing technical and professional skills within healthcare technology.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program.
• At least 6 college CS credits including a programming language course.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates responsibility, professionalism and dependability.

Responsibilities

• Assist IT projects, initiatives and end-user support during the internship.
• Analyze problems, gather requirements and propose solutions.
• Work across requirements definition, data analysis, design, development and testing.
• Integrate application and system requirements into tested software.
• Present a summary of work and learning from the internship.
• Participate in a company volunteer activity with interns.
