Role:

Delmock Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Application Developer to provide support and assistance to design, develop, integrate, test, and deploy a modernized BMF platform and also support day-to-day Operations & Maintenance (O&M) work based on IRS priorities. Provide for project management, O&M, development, modernization, enhancements, software development, legislative changes, and developmental O&M upgrades.

Responsibilities:

1. IBM z/OS assembly language: Assembly instructions, addressing modes, data manipulation techniques, and job control processing.
2. Provide support with legacy code business rules extraction and code conversion.
3. CA Endevor Software Change Manager (SCM) tool: version control, release management, security and access control, and integration of Endevor with other development tools.
4. BMC Control-M: automating job scheduling, managing workflows, and monitoring job execution.
5. IBM mainframe architecture: storage hierarchy (registers, memory, I/O), system calls (SVCs), and interrupt handling mechanisms.
6. Legacy mainframe data formats: Operate in DB2, QSAM, and VSAM data formats.
7. Target Java code: object-oriented programming principles, Java syntax, libraries, frameworks, and best practices.
8. Translate assembly logic to modern constructs such as mapping assembly instructions to equivalent Java code using loops, conditional statements, functions, and object-oriented design patterns.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field.
2. Experience with IRS Core Record Layout (CRL), QSAM Data Formats.

Preferred/Nice to Have Skills:

1. Experience with IRS Individual Master File (IMF) or Business Master File (BMF) highly desirable.

Clearance:

1. Active IRS MBI Clearance High Desirable.
