Job summary

The State of Alaska is seeking an Application Developer 1/2/3 in Anchorage or Juneau. The role focuses on maintaining and enhancing IT applications for statewide revenue programs, with a strong preference for Microsoft development tools (C#, SQL, Visual Studio, Azure, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint Online).

Hybrid telework may be explored after training. Open to Alaska Residents; pay determined by location.

Responsibilities

Support Tax Division IT applications by maintaining, updating, and enhancing systems.
Design, code, test, debug, and document software using C#, SQL, ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML, and Power Apps.
Collaborate with senior developers, analysts, and staff to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet needs.
Perform daily system maintenance, monitor performance, respond to outages, and ensure reliability and security.
Engage in pair-programming, code reviews, development, testing, and documentation for continuous improvement.
