Job summary

The State of Alaska, Department of Revenue, Tax Division, seeks an Application Developer 1/2/3 in Anchorage or Juneau. This role uses competency-based minimum qualifications and pay is determined by location.

You will support IT applications, collaborate with senior developers, and help maintain secure, reliable systems. Strong preference for knowledge of C#, SQL, SQL Server, Visual Studio, Azure, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint Online.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, update, and enhance complex statewide IT systems supporting revenue programs.
• Gather requirements, understand workflows, participate in design discussions, ensure successful implementation.
• Assist daily system maintenance, monitor performance, respond to outages, ensure reliability and security.
• Participate in pair programming, code reviews, testing, and documentation for continuous improvement.
• We prefer candidates with knowledge of C#, SQL, SQL Server, Visual Studio, Azure, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint Online.
