SGS Consulting is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to design and develop automation solutions that support software delivery and IT operations in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes building reusable automation, applying SDLC practices, and enabling CI/CD across Windows and Linux environments.

You will work closely with development, QA, infrastructure, and operations teams, using Ansible, Python, and container technologies to streamline deployments, configuration, and testing

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience may be considered as equivalent experience.
• 5 years of software development experience required.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop automation solutions supporting software delivery and IT operations
• Develop and maintain automation using Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform
• Automate application deployment, infrastructure configuration, environment management, testing, verification, and operational processes
• Develop reusable automation solutions that operate consistently across supported environments
• Apply software development practices to automation solutions, including version control, testing, documentation, and maintainability
• Use Git and source-control practices to manage automation code and configuration
• Develop scripts using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or other applicable scripting technologies
• Support CI/CD processes and automation within software delivery environments
• Work with development, QA, infrastructure, operations, and business teams to identify processes suitable for automation
• Develop automation capabilities that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual processes
• Support configuration management across Windows and Linux environments
• Work with APIs and system integrations to support automation workflows
• Apply software development and testing fundamentals to automation solutions
• Support container-based technologies and container orchestration environments
• Troubleshoot automation, deployment, configuration, and operational issues
• Develop technical documentation, procedures, and process guides
• Establish reusable automation patterns and engineering standards
• Contribute to DevOps and automation strategy initiatives
• Share technical expertise and support teams adopting automation capabilities
• Ensure automation solutions align with established Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices
• Support Azure cloud development and automation activities as applicable
• Perform additional software development, automation, and DevOps activities as assigned
