Job summary

Hendall Inc. in Rockville, MD is seeking Application Developers at multiple experience levels to join a collaborative team.

You will work with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, DB Modelers, QA Specialists and other developers to support data collection, management, reporting and dissemination solutions in an iterative environment. The role requires knowledge of .NET, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, front-end frameworks React.js/Redux or Vue.js, and experience with SQL databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or information technology.
• 2-8 years of professional DevOps experience.
• Experience with Jenkins and GitLab.
• Knowledge of .Net, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON in Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
• Knowledge of React.js/Redux or Vue.js.
• Strong SQL database design and querying skills.
• Strong English written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and study complex system requirements.
• Support the design of software tools and subsystems to facilitate software reuse and domain analyses.
• Perform software development tasks using formal specifications and diagrams as part of the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with other Application Developers to solve problems.
• Assist with development of QA test scripts.
• Perform unit, integration, regression, and system tests on developed code.
• Remediate bugs and errors in existing applications.
• Review and enhance applications to improve performance and add functionality.
• Support software configuration management in a CI environment.
• Work as part of a collaborative team to complete project assignments.

OVERVIEW

We are seeking Application Developers with varying levels of experience to join Hendall Inc. Staff in these roles will collaborate with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Database Modelers, Quality Assurance Specialists, other Developers to provide system development support for data collection, management, reporting and dissemination solutions. They will work in an energetic environment that employs an iterative software development approach.

DUTIES

• Analyze and study complex system requirements
• Support the design of software tools and subsystems to facilitate software reuse and domain analyses
• Perform software development tasks using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques as part of the software development lifecycle
• Work collaboratively with other Application Developers to solve software development problems
• Assist with development of quality assurance test scripts
• Perform unit tests, integration tests, regression tests, and system tests on developed code
• Perform remedial development to resolve software bugs and errors
• Review and enhance existing applications to improve performance and add functionality
• Support software configuration management in a Continuous Integration Environment
• Work as part of a collaborate team to complete projects assignments

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or information technology
• 2-8 years of professional experience that includes working in a DevOps environment
• Demonstrated experience working with Jenkins and Gitlab
• Knowledge of and development experience using .Net, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, JSON in Linux/Unix and Windows environments
• Knowledge of frontend frameworks React.js/Redux or Vue.js
• Strong experience in relational database design and Structured Query Language (SQL)
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Angular framework
• Knowledge/Experience of MVC pattern
• Knowledge of AWS services -Lambda and S3 services

Salary Range

$75,000 - $150,000 per year depending on years of experience and level of expertise.
