Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking an Application Delivery Technical Lead to guide software engineers, provide architectural direction, and deliver enterprise software solutions. You will mentor teams, design and implement components, and ensure alignment with IT standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of software development experience.
• 3 years of database technologies experience.
• 5 years of SDLC experience.
• 3 years of systems analysis experience.
• Experience in programming and software development including RPG, Java, SQL, Angular, APIs design and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Provides consultation on business requirements and functional specifications; supports transition to high-level design.
• Reviews development or modification of complex enterprise software solutions.
• 50/50 design/mentorship vs. hands-on coding responsibilities.
• Develops and validates complex software design prototypes; ensures adherence to architecture standards.
• Leads and guides teams in design, coding, and integration of enterprise software solutions.
• Documents requirements, design, and test scripts for enhancements.
• Mentors peers and provides input on options, risks, and costs for software designs.
