Overview

Job Details: Must Have Skills - DBA, PostgreSQL and MongoDB

This role will be working with application developers to store/retrieve their business objects and other data efficiently in databases (PostgreSQL and MongoDB). It should be an expert in creating table structures that map nicely to business classes and ensure queries to store and retrieve that data are fast and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with application developers to design table structures that map to business classes, enabling fast and reliable data storage and retrieval.
• Create and maintain stored procedures using T-SQL.
• Monitor and optimize indexes and queries as database loads change over time.
• Troubleshoot data components to help developers resolve application issues.
• Analyze legacy application data stores, plan and execute migrations from on-premises SQL Server to cloud-based databases.
• Assist migrating data to Google Cloud storage for analytical reporting.
• Support existing SQL Server–based infrastructure until migration is complete.
• Nice to have: familiarity with Redis cache.

Qualifications

• DBA experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Proficiency in creating and optimizing database schemas and queries.
• Experience with T-SQL and stored procedures.
