Gainwell Technologies seeks an Application Business Analyst to help clients improve health outcomes through technology. You’ll analyze business needs, translate requirements for IT, and work with cross-functional teams to design practical solutions.

Fully remote options across most US locations; strong emphasis on learning, development, and collaboration. Requires 3+ years BA experience, Excel expertise, and clear communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical or business field.
  • Three or more years of business analysis experience.
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and quantitative analysis.
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and designing business processes; formulate recommendations to improve activities.
  • Analyze and document client requirements; communicate with technical personnel.
  • Create basic test scenarios to verify client requirements are met.
  • Develop and modify systems requirements documentation to client needs.
  • Participate in meetings with clients to gather requirements and explore solutions.
  • Execute systems tests from existing test plans and analyze results.
  • Participate in technical reviews to verify changes are implemented.
  • Develop user manuals, train staff, model business rules, and execute acceptance tests.

Summary

In this position, you will apply intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues. Work on problems of moderately complex scope. Act as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. Exercise independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. Follow established guidelines and interpret policies. Continually evaluating unique circumstances and makes recommendations.

In addition, you will assist in the research and assessment of business goals, objectives and needs to align information technology solutions with business initiatives for multiple, less complex accounts. While serving as the liaison between technical personnel and business area for multiple accounts.

  • Assists in planning and designing business processes; assists in formulating recommendations to improve and support business activities.
  • Assists in analyzing and documenting client's business requirements and processes; communicates these requirements to technical personnel by constructing basic conceptual data and process models, including data dictionaries and volume estimates.
  • Assists in creating basic test scenarios to be used in testing the business applications in order to verify that client requirements are incorporated into the system design.
  • Assists in developing and modifying systems requirements documentation to meet client needs.
  • Participates in meetings with clients to gather and document requirements and explore potential solutions.
  • Executes systems tests from existing test plans. Assists in analyzing test results in various phases.
  • Participates in technical reviews and inspections to verify 'intent of change' is carried out through phase of project.
  • Specialized experience developing structured user manuals and training; business rules modeling; develop and executing acceptance test plans.
What we're looking for
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Three or more years of business analysis experience
  • Knowledge of basic computer programming concepts such as configuration, development and batch processing
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and other software for conducting quantitative analysis
  • Strong analytical and business process re‑engineering skills
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills to deliver messages to business leaders, clients and technical personnel
  • An influencer and team player who that motivates others to action and communicates key technical ideas in a digestible way

The pay range for this position is$55,600.00-$79,400.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
