Job summary

Montefiore Health System is seeking an APPLICATION ANALYST EPIC AMBULATORY in Yonkers, New York. In this role, you'll support installation, configuration, testing, training, and troubleshooting of Epic applications for primary care.

The ideal candidate will have Epic certification, strong analytical skills, and 3+ years of clinical or business experience. The position includes a pay range of $97,643.99-$122,054.99 and a day shift from MON-FRI.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related clinical or business experience.
• Experience with Behavioral Health, Social Work and Primary Care specialties is preferred.
• Application/System implementation, troubleshooting, testing, and support experience.
• Full life cycle of implementation with go‑live support experience.

APPLICATION ANALYST EPIC AMBULATORY

Work Days: MON-FRI

Scheduled Hours: 8:30 AM-5 PM

Scheduled Daily Hours: 7.5 HOURS

Pay Range: $97,643.99-$122,054.99

If you are excited about technology and improving patient care, a role in our Epic team may be a fit for you. As part of this role, you will support the installation, configuration, testing, training, and troubleshooting of Epic applications for ambulatory primary care.

Responsibilities

• Install new applications, new components, and upgrade existing applications. Configure application settings.
• Provide go‑live and rollout support.
• Provide training and support for end users on new applications, modules, and functionality.
• Provide application troubleshooting support for the application(s). Resolve the issue, forward it to the correct group for remediation, or elevate it to the vendor if required.
• Assist with determining how a new system, upgrade, or new component can best meet the needs of the users.
  • Analyze business/clinical needs and requirements.
  • Evaluate the operational workflow that is applied to the system.
  • Create system specifications from user requirements.
• Create test plans and test new systems, version upgrades, and any system modification. Document all outcomes of testing.
• Design database queries and create reports utilizing a report‑writing tool.
• Monitor application issues and evaluate issues as they arise.
• Write and maintain accurate and current documentation regarding application(s) supported by the team. Participate in the maintenance of training materials and disseminate materials to users.
• Provide 24 x 7 on‑call coverage for user support on a rotating basis. Work with the help desk and support personnel on escalated issues to identify problems and resolve them. Triage network, hardware, or workstation issues as required.
• On an as‑needed basis, provide on‑site support within the Montefiore Medical Center hospitals and/or its affiliates (on‑site, rotational support).
• Analyze necessary application modifications and work with the appropriate Montefiore Technology associate or the vendor to coordinate the modification.
• Function as a liaison to the vendor for Montefiore Technology.
  • Contact vendor to report escalations and obtain assistance with solving issues.
  • Assist with the coordination of vendor activities including hardware or software installation.
• Optimize ambulatory and primary care clinical workflows, including documentation, orders, In Basket messaging, health maintenance, and visit workflows.
• Participate in governance review, change control processes, and release management.
• Collaborate with providers, nursing staff, and operational leaders to gather requirements and improve workflows.
• Performs other related duties as required.
