Microsoft 365 Cloud Administrator — Remote
Contract Position
Pay Estimated: $55.08-$60.08/Hour

Remote, work from home, telecommute. This role supports national security missions in collaboration with customers and teams.
Responsibilities
- Responds to incident tickets, user inquiries and service requests
- Engages with various teams to perform application health checks, assess accessibility, server availability, capacity, monitor scheduled jobs, batch jobs, systems alerts, and feed status
- Mentors, consults and supports application adoption by providing technical assistance, advice, training, and help in proper use of the application
- Understands customer requirements and translates business needs into actions for continuous user experience improvement
- Job automation, running batch jobs, SQL scripts, log reviews, system and application monitoring, patch management, software upgrades, file transfers, backups, incident/problem troubleshooting and support
- Performs operational support including maintenance, configuration, performance tuning, account management, software upgrades, user support, and systems monitoring
- Ensures the application layer is optimally configured for integration with OS, database, middleware, network, web services, and related components
- Analyzes and triages defects/issues, plans and manages releases and migrations in different environments
- Monitors system alerts, utilization thresholds, and capacity on servers
- Monitors and enforces compliance with regulatory requirements such as SOX and corporate information security policies
- Maintains documentation for system configuration, change control, access control, and system logs
- Keeps current knowledge of vendor plans and upgrade paths including patch releases and end-of-life considerations
- Manage user identities and credentials within the Office 365 environment
- Configure and maintain mailboxes, including forwarding, shared mailboxes, and security settings
- Implement and manage Office 365 compliance features including DLP, eDiscovery, and retention policies
- Administer SharePoint Online, site creation and management
- Oversee deployment and management of Microsoft Teams and its integration with Office 365 services
- Monitor and troubleshoot Office 365 services and connectivity using the Microsoft 365 admin center and PowerShell
- Manage Office 365 deployment, including updates and user installation options
- Coordinate with external vendors for integration of third-party services with Office 365
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is required due to work within facilities
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Systems Administration, or related field or equivalent experience, and 8+ years of related experience; or Master’s + 6 years
- Demonstrated experience supporting critical application software with troubleshooting, documentation, and technical manuals
- Intermediate knowledge of server architecture, virtualization, storage, enterprise security, and replication technologies
- Ability to work independently on large tasks using SME knowledge
- Understanding of Internet components (DNS, HTTP, IP, Subnetting) and file transfer methods
- Ability to evaluate complex initiatives and risks
- Understanding of development methodologies (DevOps, Agile, SDLC)
- Current administrative certification for the application is strongly preferred
- Experience as a developer, systems integrator, or related roles is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of development languages, platforms, and tools preferred
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL and scripting, and experience with batch automation
