A leading casino is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee the repair and maintenance of kitchen appliances. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, installing new equipment, and adhering to safety standards while working in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and a High School Diploma or equivalent are required, with prior experience preferred.
Position Summary:
Under general direction from the Facilities Supervisor, responsible for the day-to-day repairs and maintenance on all Casino kitchen/Refrigeration equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Direct Reports: None.
Access to Sensitive Areas: All areas related to HVAC and Food & Beverage Kitchen areas.
Signatory Authority: None.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent, unless waived by Human Resources Management. Three (3) years of experience in the repair and maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment, including but not limited to propane stoves, ovens, deep fryers, hot boxes, dishwashing machines and all types of steamers. Must have the ability to troubleshoot propane pressure problems and adjust regulators using the property adjustment equipment. Must have the ability to maintain and repair as required propane, water and hot water distribution systems. Prior experience in ice machine repairs and maintenance a plus. Experience in the control of kitchen equipment and replacement parts stock and purchasing preferred. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 50-100 pounds. Requires ability to climb ladders and have stamina for constant walking, bending, stooping, reaching and pushing of medium to heavy weight items and equipment on a regular basis. Ability to work off ladders, powered lifts and scaffolding to 25 feet. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this position, the work environment is noisy and employee will work indoors and outdoors; work performed in areas which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky and dimly lit, and maneuver outside in temperatures in excess of 115° and as cold as 15° (exposed to all weather conditions). Additionally, the employee will be exposed to cigarette smoke.
