CSC ServiceWorks is seeking an Appliance Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain washers, dryers, and related appliances across customer locations in the Baton Rouge area. You will work Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, with a focus on independent field work and strong mechanical aptitude.

The role emphasizes safe, efficient service, accurate documentation, and excellent customer interactions while maintaining equipment and parts inventory.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening.
• Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge desired.
• Prior appliance repair experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to lift and maneuver heavy appliances.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair appliances ( washers, dryers, air-vending machines) at customer sites.
• Perform routine maintenance and preventative services to extend appliance life.
• Provide excellent customer service and clear information on repairs.

Overview

Appliance Service Technician Monday - Friday - 8am-5pm

Are you a problem-solver who loves to be out in the field? Our Appliance Techs provide mechanical repairs to washers and dryers at customer and client locations within their assigned region. Appliance Technicians keep our machines running smoothly to meet customer expectations or the need for repeated service needs. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working independently and has a very strong mechanical aptitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service and Repair : Perform diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of appliances such as washing machines, dryers, and air-vending machines. Ensure that all repairs are carried out efficiently and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
• Maintenance : Conduct routine maintenance and preventative services on appliances to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan. This includes cleaning, lubricating, replacing worn-out parts, and adjusting settings as necessary.
• Customer Service : Interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner, addressing their concerns and providing accurate information regarding the repair or maintenance process. Offer advice and recommendations on appliance usage, care, and maintenance to prevent future issues.
• Documentation : Maintain detailed records of service calls, repairs performed, parts used, and any other relevant information. Prepare service reports and update the internal database with accurate and up-to-date information.
• Parts and Inventory Management : Monitor and manage inventory levels of spare parts and tools. Order necessary parts and equipment to ensure the availability of required resources for efficient repairs and maintenance.
• Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working with electrical systems and appliances. Ensure personal safety and the safety of customers' property during service calls.
