Job summary

Temco Logistics is seeking a full-time local delivery driver in Baton Rouge, LA to service residential and commercial customers. You will operate a 26 ft box truck, load and install appliances, and ensure safe, accurate deliveries.

The role emphasizes customer service, safety, and reliable performance on on-site routes with paid training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Chauffers' license or CDL.
• Load, deliver and install appliances.
• Operate a 26 ft box truck for local routes.
• Safe handling of equipment with dollies, straps, and tools.
• Connect basic water lines, valves, and electrical components.
• Use mobile devices to confirm deliveries and maintain records.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to homeowners, builders, and clients.
• Pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 26 ft box truck for local multi-stop delivery routes.
• Load, deliver, and install household appliances (washers, dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, ranges, cooktops, etc.).
• Safely handle equipment using dollies, lifting straps, and handheld tools.
• Connect basic water lines, valves, and electrical components.
• Use mobile devices to confirm deliveries and maintain accurate records.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to homeowners, builders, and clients.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and follow all safety protocols.

What You’ll Do

• Safely handle equipment using dollies, lifting straps, and handheld tools.

• Deliver exceptional customer service to homeowners, builders, and clients.


• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and follow all safety protocols.

What You Bring

• Ability to lift/pull/push/load/unload/move 100+ lbs. using proper equipment.


• Strong customer service and communication skills.


• Comfort with GPS navigation and smartphone apps.


• Experience driving box trucks or delivery vehicles (preferred).


• Familiarity with appliance installation tools and basic plumbing/electrical (a plus!).


• Clean driving record and ability to pass background check and DOT physical.
