Job Summary

Cumberland Home and Hearth is looking for a talented Delivery Driver/Appliance Installer to join our team! You will be responsible for the delivery and set-up/installation of household appliances.

This position is right for you if you are self-motivated, have a knack for troubleshooting, and are able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines. Ideally, you have proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers.

Responsibilities:

1 Year delivery driving experience in a commercial vehicle required

Deliver household appliances to different addresses and different routes

Follow route and schedule

Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle

Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jack in a variety of weather and traffic conditions

Follow DOT regulations and safety standards

Ensure the efficient use of materials and keep company vehicle and equipment properly serviced

Must be able to lift and move a minimum of 50 to 100 lbs.

Install home appliances/equipment

Complete invoices, daily route sheets, and weekly reports as required

Perform other duties as needed which may include cross-training in related positions

Qualifications:

Valid Driver's License with a clean record

Must be at least 21 years of age

The ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis, and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis with assistance, and the physical ability to perform strenuous work under varied circumstances

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
