Overview

ISHPI is currently seeking an Appian Software Developer for our Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) S2IPT contract that supports DoD and Navy information technology to design, develop, engineer, and maintain systems that will improve customer organizational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Work closely with client team to understand, conduct impact analysis and prepare technical documentation required for development.

• Perform analysis, design, and development of Appian based applications
• Create High Level Design Documents meeting client requirements and standards
  Create and maintain Appian/data architecture involving process models and data definitions

Qualifications

Education: BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related discipline or twelve (12) years of experience in lieu of degree.

Experience: Five (5) years of experience in required software development technologies. Translated application requirements to fully functional software solutions for the end-user. Participated in design discussions and code reviews. Developed and maintain unit-tests for all coded functionalities. Reviewed code and data for possible security vulnerabilities and maintain safety standards. Assisted in building the database, based on approved design, and industry best practices. Appian platform support related experience highly desired.

Education and Degree substitute: ABET accredited MS degree in stated fields will allow for 4 years of experience substitution and ABET accredited PhD in stated fields will allow for five (5) years of experience substitution.

DoD 8570 IAT (Information Assurance Technical) Level II training requirement: Must have at least one of the following: CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate Security), CySA+ (CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst), GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional), GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials Certification), CompTIA Security+ CE, CND (Certified Network Defender), or SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)

Security Clearance: Requires U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET Clearance. Active government security clearance preferred.

Preferred quals and experience:

• Certified Level 1,2, or 3 Appian Developer
• Experience working with Appian Tempo and sites
• Java development
• Software development project experience in a Federal government setting
• Agile Framework experience
• Experience defining and documenting architecture for technology implementations
• Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations
• Ability to translate business needs into solution architecture requirements
• Excellent analytical and technical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
• Must be able to work with users to gather and refine requirements
