Job summary

Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. is seeking an Appian Security Business Analyst to support the Department of State and oversee security assessment and testing of a new software deployment.

This full-time onsite role involves identifying security gaps, planning remediation, and validating fixes with development and security teams. Responsibilities include testing, collaboration, and documentation of findings, with active Secret clearance required and strong foundations in cybersecurity

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• Experience with software testing and security validation.
• Experience in Agile testing environments.
• Ability to translate cybersecurity concerns into testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate a new software deployment to identify cybersecurity shortcomings and security gaps.
• Collaborate with developers to analyze issues and determine corrective actions.
• Develop remediation plans with technical team members.
• Create and execute tests to evaluate security-related software changes.
• Verify that implemented solutions resolve identified security gaps.
• Document testing activities, results, issues, and remediation outcomes.
• Support security assessments using cybersecurity fundamentals and operational security knowledge.
• Participate in Agile testing, issue resolution, and solution-validation activities.
