Job summary

Modus21, LLC. seeks an experienced Appian Developer to join a scrum team supporting the Navy Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Case Execution Modernization Initiative (CEMI) in South Carolina. You will leverage Appian, Java, and BPM/reengineering principles to deliver enterprise case management capabilities.

You will ensure end-to-end testing, automation, and QA readiness, while collaborating with internal clients and stakeholders across multiple phases of a complex system-of-systems solution.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in technical field such as Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Mathematics.
• Security+ Certification required.
• Ability to Obtain Appian Certified Developer or Appian Certified Senior Developer.
• 1-2 years of hands-on software development in Java and Appian.
• 8+ years of experience in software delivery or development.
• Knowledge of Appian platform essentials and capabilities.
• Familiarity with the software engineering lifecycle.
• Experience with configuration, deployment, and testing of enterprise software (Appian).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and design skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn and apply new technologies.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
• Experience in fast-paced, changing environments.
• Team-oriented, collaborative mindset.
• US citizen with ability to obtain DoD Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a software engineer on a scrum team.
• Work with Appian platform essentials and BPM/reengineering concepts.
• Interpret and troubleshoot issues within Appian design objects.
• Ensure consistent delivery of functional software across sprints and releases.
• Ensure QA readiness with end-to-end and unit tests, and automation.
• Maintain high standards of software development practices.
• Develop original technical solutions for ongoing projects.
• Support implementation of initiatives.
• Handle multiple phases of projects and explain technical considerations in meetings.
• Perform systems analysis activities.
