Job summary

Brooksource is seeking an Appian Application Developer to support a federal HR systems modernization initiative in the DC area. Hybrid work with onsite ramping, U.S. citizenship and an active Public Trust or Secret clearance required.

You will build Appian applications, including process models, interfaces, and integrations, owning modules from design through delivery and collaborating with QA, analysts, and other developers within an Agile delivery pod.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Active Public Trust or Secret clearance required.
• 3-7+ years of software development experience with hands-on Appian experience required.
• Ability to build and configure Appian applications, including process models, interfaces, and integrations.
• Strong ownership of application modules from design through delivery.
• Experience supporting testing and defect resolution with QA teams.
• Participation in Agile ceremonies such as standups, sprint planning, and demos.
• Experience with integrations, APIs, databases, and Agile delivery (preferred).
• Appian Associate or Senior Developer certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Build and configure Appian applications including process models, interfaces, and integrations.
• Take ownership of specific modules from design through delivery.
• Incorporate feedback from code reviews and improve code quality.
• Support testing and defect resolution with QA teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as standups, sprint planning, and demos.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, and business analysts within the delivery pod.
• Ensure compliance with federal security and clearance requirements throughout the lifecycle.
• Contribute to HR systems modernization for federal agencies.
