Maximus is seeking a skilled Appian Developer to design, develop, and deliver enterprise-grade applications on the Appian platform. The role requires strong SQL skills and experience in Agile/SAFe environments, with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

This is a remote position under a federal contract. Minimum qualifications include U.S. Citizenship, a Bachelor’s degree, and 5 years of experience, including 3+ years in Appian development (v17.x+).

• Design and implement secure integrations using RESTful APIs and authentication patterns.
• Perform SQL data modeling and database design.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize Appian applications for performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• AI & Automation: An understanding/exposure to AI technologies, AI/ML/LLM integration, generative AI solutions. Familiarity with Appian AI.

• Understanding of federal IT compliance (FISMA, NIST, Section 508).
• Experience with performance tuning and application troubleshooting.Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive approach to learning and obtaining higher-level Appian certifications.
