Job summary

Sabel Systems is seeking an Appian developer in Beavercreek, OH to design, build, and optimize Appian workflows (SAIL) and data models in the P3 environment. You will collaborate with government stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions.

Work in an Agile team, implement API integrations with Air Force systems, review code, test thoroughly, and contribute to documentation while pursuing Appian certifications with team support.

Qualifications

• Experience with Appian development in DoD/air force environments.
• Ability to translate stakeholder requirements into technical Appian designs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Appian applications including process models, user interfaces (SAIL), business rules, and data structures in the P3 environment
• Design and build workflow automation solutions that support Air Force PA business processes; implement case management and approval workflows
• Gather requirements from government stakeholders and business analysts; translate functional requirements into technical Appian designs and implementations
• Work with APIs and integrations to connect P3 with external Air Force systems (AES, GPC, AFORS, Vector, directory services)
• Write and optimize SQL queries to support data models, reporting, and business logic; ensure data integrity throughout the system
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging activities; support troubleshooting of production issues with guidance from senior developers
• Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum team; attend stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives; manage work items in Jira
• Document code, design decisions, and implementation details; contribute to team knowledge base and best practices documentation
• Support user acceptance testing and coordinate with P3 stakeholders to ensure solutions meet requirements
• Continuously learn and improve your Appian skills; pursue relevant certifications with team support and mentorship
