Job summary

Atlas Technologies, Inc. is seeking a skilled Business Process Analyst to design and implement complex process automation bridging Appian and PeopleSoft ERP.

The role analyzes business needs, maps processes, and translates requirements into functional specifications for the development team, enabling users to interact with PeopleSoft data within Appian interfaces. Fully remote position available to residents in AL, CA, CT, FL, GA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MD, MA, NC, OR, RI, SC, TX, VA, DC, WV, NJ.

Qualifications

• Experience with Appian BPM and low-code platforms.
• Strong understanding of BPMN and process improvement methodologies.
• Experience translating business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders and SMEs.
• Analyze and document business processes using BPMN standards.
• Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for automation using Appian capabilities.
• Translate requirements into functional specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with Appian Architects and Developers to design workflows, data models, and UI.
• Support Agile delivery through backlog refinement and sprint planning.
• Assist in creating test cases and support system testing and UAT.
• Ensure solutions meet business expectations and compliance with standards.
• Align processes with PeopleSoft modules and Appian workflows.
• Run workshops to clarify functional and technical requirements.

Job description

Atlas Technologies is seeking a skilled and motivated Business Process Analyst to join our dynamic IT team and contribute to design and implementation of complex process automation solutions that bridge the gap between our Appian low code platform and PeopleSoft ERP You will be responsible for analyzing business needs mapping business processes and translating requirements into functional specifications that guide the development team that allows users to interact with PeopleSoft data and workflows directly within Appian interfaces

Fully remote position available to residents in AL CA CT FL GA KS KY LA ME MD MA NC OR RI SC TX VA DC WV NJ Travel up to 10

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders and subject matter experts
• Analyze and document business processes using BPMN standards
• Identify process inefficiencies gaps and opportunities for automation using Appians capabilities
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications user stories and acceptance criteria
• Collaborate with Appian Architects and Developers to design workflows data models and user interfaces
• Support Agile delivery through backlog refinement sprint planning and clarification of requirements
• Assist in creating test cases and scenarios; support system testing and user acceptance testing UAT
• Ensure delivered solutions meet business expectations and comply with organizational standards
• Analyze and ensure business processes and integration points align with PeopleSoft Modules and Appian workflow
• Run workshops and working sessions to drive clarity and consensus for functional and technical requirements from stakeholders
• Produce Process maps user stories functional specifications and technical guides in document repositories with acceptable governance

Required Qualifications

• You have Appian Expertise
• 5 years of hands on experience with Appian versions 24x or higher
• US Citizenship
• A minimum of a Department of Defense DoD Secret level Security Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one
• Strong understanding of business process modeling BPMN and process improvement methodologies
• Experience working on Appian or other BPMlow code platform projects
• Ability to create clear and detailed requirements documents user stories and acceptance criteria
• Strong analytical problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Experience working in AgileScrum environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Certifications Appian Certified Analyst is highly preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Appian features process models interfaces records data types etc
• Experience with data modeling and workflow design
• Appian Analyst Designer or Practitioner certification nice to have
• Experience with JIRA Azure DevOps or similar tools for backlog management
• Attention to detail with a focus on delivering secure high quality solutions
