Groundswell is seeking an experienced Appian Architect to join our delivery teams as a trusted advisor and solution designer. Lead architecture efforts, guide implementations, and mentor teams to build scalable Appian solutions for federal clients. This role requires strong communication, security-conscious design, and a willingness to travel 0–15% to DC and Dallas.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with Appian solutions.
• 6+ years of related IT experience.
• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in CS/IS/Engineering or related area.
• Active Appian Lead Certification.
• Strong experience with Agile delivery.
• Strong technical implementation skills.
• Strong database design and development skills.
• Experience evaluating and resolving issues found during system security testing.
• Experience with Appian Cloud configuration and support processes.
• Experience implementing Cloud, On-Premises, and Hybrid deployments.
• Experience in network infrastructure concepts and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to convey complex concepts clearly.
• Willingness to travel 0-15% to client meetings in DC area and Dallas, TX.
• U.S. Citizen required.

Responsibilities

• Guide clients on architecture design, integration, scalability, DevSecOps, and initiatives to drive technical success.
• Work with enterprise architecture teams to design and deliver solutions that fit ecosystems.
• Guide implementation teams through Appian and related technologies.
• Ensure solutions are built for scale and performance.
• Integrate multi-tier architecture through integrations and configuration.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for value and fit in client or back-office implementations.
• Create and document implementation best practices and knowledge base articles.
• Provide thought leadership on process improvement.
• Support internal solutions, infrastructure, and tools.
• Mentorship, training, and enablement of resources.
