Responsibilities

  • Independently reviews and analyzes direct appeals and post-conviction relief petitions.
  • Reads case files and briefs; conducts preliminary legal research on issues.
  • Drafts bench memoranda and proposed opinions for court consideration.
  • Orally presents cases to senior staff attorneys during conferences.
