The People Of: Professional Services invites an Appellate & Constitutional Law Associate to join its Washington, DC office. The ideal candidate is from law school classes of 2019–2022 with appellate litigation experience and a keen interest in sophisticated brief writing and legal strategy.

You will work across trial and appellate courts, handling complex research, motions, and client relationships while contributing to high-profile matters.

Qualifications

• Appellate litigation experience in state or federal court.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Strong interest in brief writing and appellate advocacy.
• Ability to contribute to trial and appellate strategy.
• Clerkship experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent academic credentials.

Responsibilities

• Research and draft sophisticated appellate motions and briefs.
• Conduct complex legal research and analysis.
• Develop legal strategy for trial and appellate proceedings.
• Assist with dispositive motions and other key trial submissions.
• Advise litigation teams on pretrial and trial strategy.
• Work on appellate matters in state and federal courts.
• Participate in regulatory notice-and-comment proceedings.
• Manage cases and maintain direct client relationships.
• Collaborate with leading appellate litigators on complex matters.
