Roetzel & Andress in Akron seeks an Appellate and Business Litigation Attorney with 3+ years of appellate experience.

Appellate and Business Litigation Attorney – Akron

Our ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in appellate litigation or similar roles that focus heavily on legal research and writing. Candidates with relevant clerkship experience are especially encouraged to apply. Minimum requirements

• 3+ years of experience in litigation, including substantial appellate experience.
• Judicial clerkship experience is preferred.
• Ability to review and analyze a myriad of legal issues.
• Exceptional research and writing skills.
• Exceptional oral advocacy skills.
• Draft motions, appellate briefs, pleadings and legal memoranda.
• Oral argument experience is preferred.
• Experience with depositions and trials is a plus.
• Experience using AI legal tools Westlaw CoCounsel and CoPilot is preferred.
• Experience in E-discovery software Relativity or RelativityOne is a plus.
• Strong work ethic and desire for professional development.
• Ability to work well independently under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently while using sound judgment in decision‑making.
• Ability to manage relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Member of the Ohio Bar in good standing.
