Qualifications

• Familiarity with appeals and 1-3 years healthcare business office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Appeals relating to technical and clinical issues identified during billing of claims.
• Collaborate with HIM and facility clinicians to correct deficiencies promptly.
• Identify problem accounts and trends; escalate as appropriate.
• Work with insurance companies to secure payment on outstanding balances.
• Document patient accounts with actions taken to resolve issues.
• Meet productivity standards and departmental goals; perform other duties as assigned.
