What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Maintain a high-volume caseload while adhering to timeliness standards for appeals processing
  • Conduct outreach to explain the state's actions related to Medicaid programs and coordinate with staff for resolution
  • Review appeals daily for potential resolution within policy guidelines and document actions as necessary
  • Demonstrate attention to detail in researching appeal cases and documenting notes for proper case processing
  • Participate in unit meetings and discussions aimed at improving workflow
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor\'s degree in a related field, preferably in business administration, management, public health, health policy, paralegal, or legal assistant studies
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage workload to meet deadlines
  • Ability to foster and maintain cohesive working relationships
  • Advanced writing and communication skills
