About Us

The Federal Appeals Firm is a national Social Security disability law practice dedicated exclusively to federal court appeals. Our team of skilled litigators handles high-volume, high-impact cases across the country. We are expanding and seeking motivated and detail-oriented attorneys to join us in an Of Counsel role focused on federal court appellate litigation.

Position Overview

We are hiring attorneys with strong writing and analytical skills to prepare federal district court briefs in Social Security disability appeals. This is a remote, commission-based role with significant earning potential. Of Counsel attorneys are provided with a steady caseload and the support of our experienced litigation team. Of counsel attorneys are independent contractors of the firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft persuasive, high-quality federal district court briefs in Social Security disability appeals.
  • Analyze administrative records, ALJ decisions, and applicable federal case law.
  • Apply circuit-specific precedent, statutes, and Social Security regulations to frame compelling arguments.
Qualifications
  • J.D. and active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (you must be fully admitted in at least one jurisdiction – pending admission is insufficient).
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Training will be provided. Prior experience in Federal litigation, Social Security disability law or appellate practice is helpful, but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with precision.
Experience Requirement

We do not impose a minimum years-of-experience requirement. What matters most is your commitment, determination, and demonstrated writing skill. If you are a fast learner who can work independently and who can produce persuasive, high-quality federal briefs, you will succeed in this role — whether you are newly licensed or a seasoned practitioner.

Compensation & Structure

Commission-based payment structure with strong earning potential.

Reasonable estimated compensation could be from $80,000 to $160,000 depending on performance and case load.

Firm provides our attorneys with a caseload of appeals — no marketing or client development required.

Fully remote — applicants accepted from anywhere in the U.S.
