Lakeshirts, inc. is seeking an experienced Apparel Technical Designer in Detroit Lakes, MN to move ideas from concept to production-ready reality. You will create tech packs, review samples, and support fittings while collaborating with design, product, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Degree in fashion or apparel design required.
• 4+ years in apparel technical design or related field.
• Knowledge of pattern making, grading, and garment construction.
• Proficient in Illustrator, PLM, Microsoft Office, and Excel with accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Move styles from concept to production-ready samples, resolving fit and construction questions.
• Create and update tech packs, specs, grading rules, and fit documentation in Excel and related systems.
• Apply fabrics, trims, and sewing knowledge to support quality and consistency.
• Manage incoming samples and libraries; review fit and production readiness.
• Coordinate model fittings, document measurements, update specs based on feedback.
• Troubleshoot fit, grading, construction, production, quality, and costing concerns and propose solutions.
• Communicate updates and changes to vendors and teammates.
• Support fabric testing, process improvements, and product presentations.
