Job Description:

The Apparel Sales Associate at Roger Dunn Golf Shops is responsible for promoting and maintaining a store culture aligned with Worldwide Golf’s values, including the “Sure No Problem” philosophy, which emphasizes putting the customer first to ensure a positive shopping experience.

The Apparel Sales Associate provides customers with an exceptional shopping experience through friendly greeting and engagement, assists with visual merchandising, signage, and displays. Responsibilities include:

• Maintain knowledge of all golf products, terminology, promotions, demo merchandise, and sale advertisements, with flexibility to work in different departments as needed.
• Manage product flow to the sales floor, assist with markdowns and clearance per company guidelines.
• Assess customer needs, make recommendations, and utilize apparel knowledge to assist in decision-making.
• Research merchandise availability, requisition stock, and take inventory as needed.
• Maintain shipping/receiving records and database files for the department.
• Recognize and suggest improvements to processes once fully trained.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Ability to stand or move about the store, perform physical activities such as bending, stooping, lifting (up to 15 pounds), carrying, walking, and reaching regularly.
• Ability to tag, hang, and sensor merchandise.
• Proficiency with word-processing, spreadsheets, inventory, internet, and order processing systems.
• Flexibility to work varied hours/days as needed.

Qualifications Desired:

• At least 1 year of experience in retail, apparel, or golf industry preferred (entry-level candidates considered).
• Golf knowledge/background is a plus but not required.
