Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont in Concord, NC is hiring a donation processor/retail associate. No experience required; you will sort donated clothing, organize items, track counts, and help keep the sales floor tidy and safe.

This full-time role starts at $15 per hour, with annual merit raises and production bonuses, plus benefits such as medical, dental, vision, PTO and tuition reimbursement.

• This job keeps you active! You’ll be standing, using your hands, reaching, pulling, twisting, and occasionally talking, walking, pushing, bending, and stooping; regular lifting up to 10 pounds, sometimes up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Sort donated clothing to determine what meets our quality standards.
• Identify and separate higher-value clothing for special handling.
• Organize sellable and unsellable items into the appropriate bins.
• Track daily production counts and maintain records.
• Hang and group clothing using our color rotation system.
• Stock or remove clothing from the sales floor as needed.
• Keep work areas clean, safe, and compliant with procedures.
• Support other roles (donation processor, hanger, cashier) as needed.
• Report any theft, safety, or security concerns to management.
