Abercrombie & Fitch Co. is seeking a Designer for our Women’s On-The-Go and Restore teams. You’ll shape the most creative product, spanning Outerwear, Dresses, and Knit Layers, rooted in the YPB aesthetic. The role blends technical skill with creative thinking and fast-paced adaptability.

Responsibilities include leading a small design team, presenting to senior leadership, and driving end-to-end design from concept to final garment. A strong portfolio and production knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field
• 4+ years hands-on apparel design experience
• Portfolio highlights technical execution and aesthetic leadership

Responsibilities

• Drive daily design process: trend research, mood boards, sketching in Illustrator, tech packs, BOM, fabric/trim selection, fittings and final approvals
• Manage multiple seasons and lifecycles for the Abercrombie & Fitch Women's YPB On-The-Go and Restore lines
• Research global market to keep products aligned with trends and brand voice
• Present line to senior leadership, provide style/fit insights, secure team alignment
• Lead and coach a design team of 1 designer

YPB is looking for a Designer to join our Women's On-The-Go and Restore team. In this role, you'll help shape the most creative and technically exciting product in our collection. Each season, you'll design a range of styles- including but not limited to Outerwear, Dresses, and Knit Layers all rooted in the YPB aesthetic. This role blends technical skills with creative thinking. The ideal candidate for this role has an eye for fashion and trend, demonstrate curiosity, a can-do attitude and can adapt to a fast passed environment.

What Will You Be Doing?

Driving the daily design process including: trend research and mood board creation, sketching in Illustrator, tech pack creation, BOM development, fabric and trim selection and development, fitting and approving final garments.

Managing multiple seasons and product lifecycles for the A&F Women's YPB On-The-Go and Restore collections.

Researching the global market to ensure that the product is in tune with emerging trends and relevant to our customer and brand voice.

Clearly presenting the line to senior leadership, providing insight on style and fit and getting the team on board with ideas and trends.

Leading, managing and coaching a team of 1 designer.

What Do You Need to Bring?

Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design or a related field, with 4+ years of hands-on experience in apparel design. A portfolio that highlights both technical execution and aesthetic leadership.

Expertise: Deep understanding of both design and production processes, with a strong focus on Activewear preferred.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software, including PLM and Adobe Suite.

Design Ownership: Eagerness to manage the entire design process independently.

Customer Insight: A genuine interest in connecting with and understanding our customers.

Trend Analysis: Skill in identifying and translating relevant trends into actionable design ideas.

Technical Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of fabrics, fits, and construction methods to guide yourself and your team through the product lifecycle.

Presentation Skills: Confident in presenting ideas clearly, authentically, and inspiring.

Communication: Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across teams.

Risk-Taking: Willingness to take bold risks and push boundaries.

Adaptability: Must thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, demonstrating flexibility and quick thinking.

Collaboration: Strong ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to bring the brand's vision to life.
