Abercrombie & Fitch Co. is seeking an Apparel Designer for the Women’s YPB On-The-Go and Restore teams in Columbus.

You will drive the full design process, from trend research to final fitting, and contribute to a fast-paced, trend-driven environment. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Fashion Design with 4+ years of hands-on apparel design experience, strong Illustrator and PLM skills, and a portfolio showing leadership in activewear design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or related field, with 4+ years of hands-on apparel design experience.
• Portfolio highlighting technical execution and aesthetic leadership.
• Strong understanding of design and production processes; Activewear focus preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive daily design process: trend research, mood boards, Illustrator sketches, tech packs, BOMs, fabrics and trims.
• Manage multiple seasons and product lifecycles for Women’s YPB On-The-Go and Restore collections.
• Present lines to senior leadership and secure buy-in on style and fit; lead a team of 1 designer.

YPB is looking for a Designer to join our Women’s On-The-Go and Restore team. In this role, you’ll help shape the most creative and technically exciting product in our collection. Each season, you’ll design a range of styles- including but not limited to Outerwear, Dresses, and Knit Layers all rooted in the YPB aesthetic. This role blends technical skills with creative thinking. The ideal candidate for this role has an eye for fashion and trend, demonstrate curiosity, a can-do attitude and can adapt to a fast passed environment. **What Will You Be Doing?*** Driving the daily design process including: trend research and mood board creation, sketching in Illustrator, tech pack creation, BOM development, fabric and trim selection and development, fitting and approving final garments.* Managing multiple seasons and product lifecycles for the A&F Women’s YPB On-The-Go and Restore collections.* Researching the global market to ensure that the product is in tune with emerging trends and relevant to our customer and brand voice.* Clearly presenting the line to senior leadership, providing insight on style and fit and getting the team on board with ideas and trends.* Leading, managing and coaching a team of 1 designer.**What Do You Need to Bring?*** **Education and Experience:** Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or a related field, with 4+ years of hands-on experience in apparel design.
