Job summary

Aquent Talent is seeking a highly creative Color Designer to translate trends into color directions for global apparel collections in Beaverton, Oregon. You will build market-relevant palettes, apply color across lines, and craft compelling color stories that define upcoming seasons.

Collaborating with designers and cross-functional partners in a fast-paced environment, you will present concepts with confidence, stay attuned to fashion and marketplace trends, and showcase your portfolio of mood

Qualifications

• 5+ years in apparel color design with strong color storytelling.
• Expertise in color strategy, palette development and application.
• Portfolio demonstrates mood boards and diverse apparel work.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
• Bachelor's degree in design, fashion, textiles or related field (or equivalent).

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of professional experience in apparel color design.
• Strong expertise in color strategy, palette development, and color application.
• A portfolio showcasing color storytelling, mood boards, and a variety of apparel experiences.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities.
• Bachelor's degree in design, fashion, textiles, or a related field - or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with outdoor, streetwear, performance, activewear, or technical apparel.
• Experience balancing fashionable aesthetics with functional/utilitarian product needs.
• Background working with a major global or Fortune 500 brand.
• Experience in entrepreneurial or startup-like environments.
• Strong understanding of fashion, color, and marketplace trends.
