Job summary

Bank of America in Washington, DC is seeking an Application Remediation Governance specialist to drive down technology risk by remediating vulnerabilities in a timely manner. You will track vulnerabilities, coordinate with application managers and vendors, and contribute to risk metrics for leadership.

This role supports the ARG team, overseeing daily BAU activities and ensuring effective vulnerability distribution while collaborating with CST to keep systems current and secure.

Qualifications

• 3+ years cyber security experience.
• Vulnerability and remediation experience.
• Understanding of novel vulnerability vectors, primarily AI capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Creates and maintains the team's application vulnerability portfolio.
• Responds to AI-related vulnerability threats and coordinates timely actions to minimize risk.
• Oversees daily BAU activities for the ARG team and acts as proxy manager when required.
• Leads the ARG team to ensure balanced workload and effective vulnerability distribution.
• Configures and maintains the SOR portfolio view for team members and flags items needing action.
• Escalates and represents the ARG on incident calls related to vulnerabilities, especially P1s.
• Owns ARG actions and collaboration, ensuring thorough issue resolution.
• Collaborates with CST tech teams to keep the SOR up to date and functional.
• Works with CST on SOR enhancements and provides user validation during break/fix cycles.
• Manages ARG BAU processes for unmasked corporate account details and maintains process/docs.
