Job summary

FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC is seeking an experienced Palliative Care NP/PA for 100% inpatient care. The role involves managing patients across units with a multidisciplinary team, focusing on symptom management and goals of care.

The position supports work‑life balance with a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and no on-call responsibilities. The candidate will join seven Palliative Care APPs and two social workers, benefiting from a robust compensation package

Qualifications

• NP must be a graduate of a nurse practitioner education program and have national certification.
• PA must be a graduate of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program and have NCCPA certification.
• Minimum 2 years of advanced practice experience required. APPs function autonomously across all units.
• Must be able to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion in decision-making.
• Exceptional communication skills; must be able to effectively navigate sensitive patient/family discussions.
• Clean background, NC license, and NC DEA required.
• AHA ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient palliative care across multiple units.
• Collaborate with Hospitalists, specialists, nurses and discharge planners.
• Maintain a dependable schedule with Monday–Friday hours, no on-call.
