Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Livonia, MI, seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Orthopedic Surgery team. You will work with surgeons and APPs on evaluation, planning, post-operative care, and outpatient surgical support.

The role offers full-time hours, M-F, with a 40-hour week in a collaborative, mission-driven environment and access to Epic EMR tools and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of post-graduate experience, preferably in orthopedic or surgical specialty.
• AGACNP or ACNP certification for NPs.
• Active Michigan medical license and DEA license, with BLS (ACLS/BLS) maintained.

Opportunity Details

This position includes close collaboration with orthopedic surgeons and fellow APPs to deliver exceptional care for patients with musculoskeletal conditions, encompassing initial evaluation, treatment planning, and post-operative management, as well as outpatient surgical assist.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of post-graduate experience, preferably in an orthopedic or surgical specialty
• Requirement for NPs: AGACNP or ACNP
• Demonstrated clinical judgment, procedural proficiency, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced orthopedic setting
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and engagement
• APPs: Board certified in specialty prior to employment
• Active Michigan medical license (or ability to obtain)
• DEA license
• BLS certification (must be maintained)/ ACLS/BLS certification (must be maintained)
