Job summary

New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our hospital rounding team at Garnet Hospital. You will deliver patient-centered oncology/hematology care and coordinate across the care team.

This on-site role requires rounding five days a week, a graduate from an accredited program, current APRN or PA licensure, EMR proficiency, and a commitment to high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure or Physician Assistant License.
• At least one (1) year of experience in Oncology/Hematology (helpful but not required).
• Strong computer skills; experience with EMR is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage health problems and coordinate care for Oncology/Hematology patients in alignment with State and Federal regulations and nursing standards of care.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient status.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to prepare patients preoperatively and manage postoperative clinical care.
• Deliver patient-centered care focused on improving outcomes and enhancing the patient experience.
• Must have the ability to round 5 days a week at Garnet Hospital

Location: Garnet Hospital

Monday-Friday 5/8.5 hour shifts

Salary up to $160,000-$175,000/year based on experience.
