Description:

Advanced Practice Provider Neurohospitalist PRN

Piedmont is recruiting for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Neurohospitalist team at Piedmont Henry Hospital. This is a PRN position working variable shifts as needed.

In this role you will:

  1. Follow up with current general neurology and stroke patients.
  2. Triage new patients prior to being seen by doctor.
  3. Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations and record data in patients medical record.
  4. Evaluate and treat patients to achieve optimal patient care.
  5. Write progress notes; prepare patient work-ups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings.
  6. Develop plans of care that minimize complications and successfully troubleshoot problems when they arise.
  7. Apply preventative and alternative treatment strategies for possible procedural complications.

Preferred Qualifications

1-2 years of advanced practice provider experience with a high degree of clinical judgment.

Minimum Qualifications

Masters, Bachelors Degree from an Accredited PA program and National Board Certification
