Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a FULL TIME NURSE PRACTITIONER OR PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT to join our inpatient team. In this role you will provide hospitalist coverage on a swing shift (9a–9p) and help manage discharges and bed assignments alongside care coordination.

Requirements include a Master of Science, certification as ARNP/PA and active licensure. Four years hospitalist experience and over five years NP experience are required; NP/PA certification is essential.

Qualifications

• Master of Science required.
• Certified ARNP or PA and licensed ARNP or PA.
• Four years of experience as Hospitalist required.
• Over 5 years Nurse Practitioner experience required.
• Certified Nurse Practitioner required.
• Licensed Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner required.

Responsibilities

• 9a to 9p Swing Shift.
• Facilitate discharges before 12 p.m.
• Queue discharges for the following day.
• Support overflow admissions.
• Respond to rapid needs.
• Real-time decision-making on transfers and bed assignment coordination with inpatient and logistics teams.
