Job Summary

Under the general direction of the AVP Tech Solutions & Innovation, this position will work closely with the Innovation Team to support the current programming staff with custom applications and new projects. This position will play a key role in the development, design and maintenance of responsive, secure, accessible and user-friendly mobile and web environments. This position will play a supporting role in the University Relations & Development (URD) Customer Relationship Management (CRM) migration project.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the URD CRM Migration Project - Maintain Database Performance and Web application performance at all times for production and development environments.
• Support custom application builds and provide guidance and support for new application development by the Innovation Team.
• Mobile/Progressive application development - Design, develop and support applications that render well on mobile devices to take touchpoint reports from development officers.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical individuals in a culturally diverse campus environment. Maintain a professional demeanor. Maintain IT professional standards of anonymity for data that resides on campus servers and computer systems. Maintain confidentiality of all information. Attend and participate in departmental and team meetings.

Education and Experience

• Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Educational Technology, or related technical field and two years related experience required.

Preferred experience:

• Must have strong working knowledge of python, Django,

• Experience with Python IDE environments (Ex. Pycharm, Vscode).

* Working knowledge of Git, Azure Devops and Azure cloud development

* Knowledge of SAML based authentication methods.

* Knowledge of LDAP.

* Experience creating, normalizing and secure databases using various database offerings (MySQL, Azure Cosmos DB, Oracle).

* Experience securing and protecting servers and information to comply with campus policies and federal and state laws and acts.

Compensation

Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.

Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $5,158 - $7,500 per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.

CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $5,158 - $12,730 per month.

Excellent benefits through CalPERS (health, vision, dental), tuition fee waiver, generous vacation and sick leave, and 14 paid holidays each year.

Time Base

1.0 time-base, 40 hours per week.

Duration of Appointment

This is a temporary position for 1 year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
