Job summary

CHAS Health in Laramie, Wyoming is seeking an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner to improve community health by providing primary medical services in accordance with established guidelines and regulations. Responsibilities

Purpose of the job: Improve the overall health of the communities we serve by providing primary medical services at CHAS Health clinics in accordance with policies, procedures and regulations of the CHAS Health Board of Directors and administration.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $121,000.00 - $188,514.00

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Treat a mixed patient population across gender, age, ethnicity, insured or uninsured.
• Examine patients to determine general physical condition.
• Perform physical examinations, minor procedures and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines.
• Order or execute various tests, analyses and diagnostic images to provide information on patient condition.
• Analyze reports and findings and diagnose condition.
• Prescribe or recommend drugs or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy or related therapeutic procedures.
• Order inoculations and vaccinations to immunize patients from communicable diseases.
• Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners for specialized treatment.
• Advise patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods for disease prevention.
• Record and sign off on physical findings, formulate plan and prognosis, and enter information into the electronic chart in accordance with established standards.
• Report births, deaths, and outbreaks of contagious diseases to governmental authorities.
• Participate in provider staff meetings to develop problem‑solving techniques and acquire team‑building skills.
• Participate in peer reviews.
• Participate in clinic quality initiatives as requested.
• Perform other duties assigned, including supporting the CHAS Health mission and core values.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Graduation from a Masters level, accredited Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner school; valid licensure in state of practice required; secure narcotic prescription privileges; board certified or eligible.
• Skills: Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to secure credentialing through identified agencies (Medicare, Medicaid, etc.); BLS (CPR/AED) required; commitment to supporting a safe and respectful environment.

Physical Demands

Providers must be able to move around the facility between one third and two thirds of the day, as well as sit at a workstation or in patient rooms. Using hands occurs over two thirds of the day, while reaching with arms occurs less than one third of the day. Communicating is also required over two thirds of the day. Lifting up to 10 lbs occurs about half the time; lifting above 25 lbs occurs only occasionally.
