Job summary

Metro One LPSG is seeking an APO/LPO Unarmed Security Officer in Albuquerque, NM. The role offers weekly pay and flexible scheduling, with emphasis on loss prevention and customer safety. Requires strong asset protection background and prior law enforcement or military experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Asset Protection / Loss Prevention experience in retail.
• Prior Military, Corrections, or Law Enforcement experience required.
• Must have a NM Level 1 Security License.

Responsibilities

• Help reduce shrink and prevent loss through vigilant patrols.
• Deterrence and enforcement of store policies to minimize theft.
• Observe shoppers, report suspicious activity, and communicate with staff.
• Ensure compliance with company guidelines and safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with public, staff and management; respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to overall shortage reduction
• Limit losses from theft by discouraging criminal behavior and holding bad actors accountable for any damage caused through loss of product.
• Look for patterns of suspicious behavior and closely observe shoppers
• Ensure compliance with company guidelines/post orders
• Must be able to communicate with all levels of public, staff and management
• Ability to evaluate emergency circumstances and make timely decisions

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Must have 5+ years of Asset Protection / Loss Prevention Experience in a retail setting OR
• PriorMilitary, Corrections, Law Enforcement experience required
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong, stable work history.
• Drug testing and background screeningare required.
• Must have a VALID NM Level 1 Guard License
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays appropriate to retail business needs
• Must be able to stand or walk the entire scheduled shift. (8+ hours).

Requirements

• MUST have or be able to obtain a NM Level 1 Security License
