Qualifications

• APRN licensure in NH and VT within 6 months of hire, or eligible
• Current NH/VT PA licensure eligible with PA program degree
• National certification (NCCPA) or relevant specialty certs
• DEA registration eligible
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of primary care experience
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• Strong clinical judgment and commitment to team-based care

Responsibilities

• Provide in-basket coverage for physicians and APPs during vacations, leave, and absences
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nurses and staff to ensure high-quality care
• Provide same-day visits for established primary care patients
• Take focused history and perform physical exams during visits
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Obtain informed consent for procedures
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Prescribe medications within scope
• Refer to other providers as needed
• Be on-site to assist the clinical team with urgent needs
• Educate patients on management of acute and chronic illnesses
