Job summary

Omegahires seeks a hands-on Apigee Platform Administrator to manage our Google Apigee deployment across environments. You will configure environments, deployments, and access controls while ensuring platform availability and performance.

You will monitor health, troubleshoot issues, implement security and certificate management, and collaborate with clients and engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable API solutions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Google Apigee administration and API proxy development.
• Experience with environments, deployments, and access management.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP/HTTPS, JSON, and backend integrations.
• API security, authentication, authorization, and certificate management.
• Troubleshooting API proxies and platform infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the Apigee platform, including environment configuration and availability.
• Configure and manage organizations, environments, environment groups, deployments, and access permissions.
• Monitor platform health, API traffic, performance, and availability; troubleshoot platform-level issues.
• Support platform upgrades, configuration changes, capacity planning, and operational maintenance.
• Implement platform security, access controls, certificates, and connectivity configurations.
• Establish operational procedures, monitoring, logging, incident management, and recovery processes.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy API proxies using Google Apigee.
• Configure API policies for security, traffic management, transformations, caching, and fault handling.
• Integrate APIs with backend applications, databases, and third-party services.
• Manage API versioning, deployment processes, reusable flows, and API documentation.
• Troubleshoot API proxy, backend connectivity, and performance issues.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
