Responsibilities

• Position - Apigee Layer 7 Developer
• Work Mode: Remote
• Responsibilities and Requirements:
• Design, develop, and deploy RESTful APIs using Apigee Edge platform.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable API solutions.
• Implement security measures such as OAuth, JWT, and API keys to protect APIs from unauthorized access.
• Optimize API performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
• Develop and maintain API documentation, including specifications, usage guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to API gateway configurations, traffic management, and policy enforcement.
• Implement API analytics and monitoring to track usage, performance, and trends.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in API management and microservices architecture.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers and team members.
• Participate in code reviews, software design discussions, and sprint planning sessions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience in software development, with a focus on API development and integration.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Apigee Edge platform, including API proxy development, API management, and policy enforcement.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles, HTTP protocol, and web services standards.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with API security standards and protocols such as OAuth, JWT, and SSL/TLS.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Hands on experience with Broadcom API Gateway implementations.
• Experience with installation of Broadcom API Gateway in AWS EKS Containers.
• Experience with installation of IAM Software in AWS Environment.
• Knowledge of Threat Metrix rule configurations.
• Java/J2EE experience.
• IAM Domain Knowledge, MFA methods awareness.
