Responsibilities
- Position - Apigee Layer 7 Developer
- Work Mode: Remote
- Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Design, develop, and deploy RESTful APIs using Apigee Edge platform.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable API solutions.
- Implement security measures such as OAuth, JWT, and API keys to protect APIs from unauthorized access.
- Optimize API performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
- Develop and maintain API documentation, including specifications, usage guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to API gateway configurations, traffic management, and policy enforcement.
- Implement API analytics and monitoring to track usage, performance, and trends.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in API management and microservices architecture.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers and team members.
- Participate in code reviews, software design discussions, and sprint planning sessions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience in software development, with a focus on API development and integration.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Apigee Edge platform, including API proxy development, API management, and policy enforcement.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles, HTTP protocol, and web services standards.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with API security standards and protocols such as OAuth, JWT, and SSL/TLS.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Hands on experience with Broadcom API Gateway implementations.
- Experience with installation of Broadcom API Gateway in AWS EKS Containers.
- Experience with installation of IAM Software in AWS Environment.
- Knowledge of Threat Metrix rule configurations.
- Java/J2EE experience.
- IAM Domain Knowledge, MFA methods awareness.
