Job summary

Sonsoft, Inc. is seeking an API developer with hands-on experience in Apigee Edge and RESTful API design. The role requires knowledge of OAuth, SSL, CORS, and JWT, with strong coding skills in Java/Spring or Node.js.

You’ll work on API design decisions and stay aligned with CM management practices. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 4+ years in IT, with preference given to those familiar with API governance and integration standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required; substitution rules apply.
• At least 4 years of IT experience.
• Experience with Apigee Edge (1 year minimum).
• Designing RESTful APIs and web standards knowledge (OAuth, SSL, CORS, JWT).
• Experience with either Java/Spring or Node.js.
• Understanding SOA vs API design and CM management.

Job Description

• At least 1 year of experience with Apigee Edge
• Extensive experience designing and developing RESTful APIs
• Broad knowledge of web standards relating to APIs (OAuth, SSL, CORS, JWT, etc.)
• Extensive coding experience with either Java/Spring or Node.js
• Understanding of differences between SOA and API design.
• Knowledge of Change & Incident Management process (CMRs, etc.)

Nice to Have Technical Skills

• Experience in Node.js
• Should be self-starting, requires little oversight and handles complex tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience within the Information Technologies.
